This process is simple:
1. Search the Library Catalogue.
2. Select the item you want. If it's held in the LRS, you will see 'Library Retrieval System' under Location.
3. Click 'Request from LRS'.
3a. If the LRS item says 'In-transit' it means that it is on its way to the LRS to be stored. Once it is available for request the blue 'Request from LRS' button will appear.
4. Fill in your details, and click Request. You will be notified when the item is ready for collection.
You will be able to pick it up from either:
- Open Reserve at the City Campus Library (Level 2)
- Hold Shelves at the Kuring-gai Campus Library (Level 4)
Items will be held there for 7 days.
SEMESTER PICK UP TIMES
City Campus Library
Monday - Friday
- Requests made before 7am will be available for pick up after 9am
- Requests made before 9am will be available for pick up after 11am
- Requests made before 11am will be available for pick up after 1pm
- Requests made before 1pm will be available for pick up after 3pm
- Requests made before 3pm will be available for pick up after 5pm
- Requests made before 5pm will be available for pick up after 7pm
- Requests made before 7pm will be available for pick up after 9pm
- Requests made after 7pm will be available for pick-up the following morning when the Library opens.
Saturday & Sunday
- Requests made before 9am will be available for pick up after 11am
- Requests made before 11am will be available for pick up after 1pm
- Requests made before 1pm will be available for pick up after 3pm
- Requests made before 3pm will be available for pick up after 5pm
- Requests made after 3pm will be available for pick up the following morning when the Library opens.
Kuring-gai Campus Library
Monday - Friday
- Requests made before 7pm will arrive the following business day dependent on Shuttle Bus pickup times.
Saturday & Sunday
- Items requested on the weekend or public holiday will be delivered on the next business day dependent on Shuttle Bus pickup times.
